Hell Call
Hell Call
Well after sitting here laughing hysterically....Here we go. Nobody told me that shrinks don't like the word crazy. I made the mistake of saying I was afraid he was going to tell me I was crazy and I guess he lectured me and asked me to define crazy. He said that he was my BRAIN doctor. "If you had a problem with your heart, you would go see a heart specialist and you wouldn't worry that he would tell you you are crazy." "I'm your brain specialist." He He Ha Ha If I'd known I would not have used the word crazy. Maybe I should have said "Mental". Nah doubt that would be any better. But anyways. He did ask me about my military time. Everyone knows that can make you mental. When I told him that those were 4 of the most enjoyable years of my life he automatically connected this with me being away from my mother. Go figure. He told me I presented an interesting case and asked If I was willing to try a medication my help or not but he would see me back in 2 weeks. Of course I want to try I guess. I tired of being sick so at this point I will practically try anything. He goes to his drug closet and pull out a box of samples and instructs me on how to take it. As I leave he tells me that if I have any questions about the medication to give him a call. This sounded strange but I just thanked him and left. I had been there approx. 1hr and 45 minutes. 45 minutes in the waiting room. Once I get home get my child in bed I open the box and start reading the package insert. OH SHIT!!!!! ok One other thing he told me before I left was to right down my dreams so that I could tell him about them on my next visit. One of the side effects of the med is vivid dreams. I really hope this is why he gave it to me. It is also to use to treat some mental disorders that I want specifically go into at this time. Look them up if you are that noisy because they were from very mild to very phycotic. He only gave me enough to get to the next visit so maybe he is experimenting with me. LOL. However I will always believe the InterHell contributed to this. Can't wait for your comments.

The word "crazy" is a dirty word to the head doctor. I'm guessing the meds he gave you were to try out. You never know how psychotic drugs can affect a person, that's why they give you a sample at first. I speak from experience, and the right meds can really make a big difference. Good luck with that one. Plus, we have to be a little crazy in order to work there. We work for a company that can't make up it's "mind" so much that they have added words to that effect in their Value System (ES&C get it?).
Just take a look around InterHell we have Carman, Stephenie just to name a few that InterHell has affected. I am using sleeping pills because of all of the stress...I know a few (new supervisors) that need to be using something because they are going to cause the rest of us to head the the HEAD DOC. So I guess you could say that InterHell has contributed.
Just want to say thank you for all you are doing and all you have done for me. No matter what InterHell has done to you, you are a great Manager,Friend and Person!!!! Thanks Again

"Insane" is actually a legal term, not a medical one, which is probably why he took offense at that! :) You don't want "insane" pinned on you, cuz when it is, it usually means you're on trial for something BIG!
Girl, be careful with the meds. Especially if they're a new medication. I am not trying to be nosy, I promise, but did the doc actually diagnose you with something before he gave you medication to take? You were kind of vague about that in your post, understandably, but just please be careful!
I agree with Cathy on her comment regarding certain supervisors that might need a Valium or three, some days. It's really just getting out of control up in InterHell!

I don't care what anyone says, I think you are a damn good supervisor and I have known you since back in the way day so you know I've seen you in your 'phases'. LOL to the doc and the word 'crazy'...hell we all know you are crazy! Amen to Cathy, wasn't it she who said we all have to be crazy to work at IHell??
You be careful, and remember just cause the doctor TELLS you to do something if it sounds 'crazy' to you, get a 2nd opinion! You're in my thoughts!
